You just have to do it. Make yourself a little palette of highs and lows and omit all midtones. Try to stay in the extremes as much as possible. You could also use someone else's painting as a ref for tone and try to keep your values in that range. Justin sweet or something.
Your tone quality is impeccable, I love the variety of ranges but I really love how dark everything is. Sometimes I'm afraid of pushing that boundary.
